“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem,
Behold, your king is coming to you:
He is just and endowed with salvation.”–Zechariah 9:9
We are educated , we are seduced really to spend far too much money for candy on Easter.
Each year we suffer greater poverty and ignorance to what the true memorial of the events
in the life of Jesus, our Lord and Messiah.
In this 21st century things can happen in an instant, things mire wonderful than the eye has
seen or the ears have heard.
Today is Palm Sunday.
How do we show our love, the manifestation that Jesus Christ is indeed king of king?.
Too many of us love our iPhones more than we love Jesus; for we always have the iPhone
close to our ear.
Have you received the call from Jesus?
I read in my minister’s manual and it tells me back in Jesus day many spread out their garments along
the way, while others strewed the road with branches cut down from the trees. They carried palms in their hands, and cried aloud:
“Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, blessed is the king of Israel.”
This is Palm Sunday!
Put down your iPhone from your ear and stop and hear the sweet voice of Jesus who is calling you and me.
Why so many live with pessimism day in day out?
I tell you the truth, their is power in the name of Jesus.
“All power is given unto me.”
The palms point to the realities of the universe: that there are laws not necessarily of man, which cannot be broken; great causes that are inevitable and invincible; great words of speech, truth, justice and brotherhood which are everlasting.
A few hours after the palms, Pilate appealed to the power of the Roman Empire.
Jesus, the true king of king’s stood before Pilate, proclaiming by his regal silence the
hollowness of pomp, the pretense of pride, the ashes of ambition, the vanity of money and the sheer disillusionment of fleeting fame.
Pilate could only appeal to the power of state.
Jesus only appeals to the Father which is Omnificent and Omnipresent.
On this Palm Sunday God continues to rule over states and all empires.
In prayer, I say, in prayer, we hear the voice of Jesus and therein we find
the spring of pure heart that washes us clean and quenches our thirst.
Each day we should pray to Him and bath in His love and grace.
Those who walk in His light are those forever blessed who bring peace
love and grace to this world.
I humble myself this hour before my God and with sincere heart I pray that
this writing is to the glory of Jesus Christ, Jesus who shed His sacred
blood on Mount Calvary, so that each of us would find salvation.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
May His peace, grace and love and blessings be upon all of my brothers and sisters
now and forever.
