Beer is good for your Heart!

“He was a wise man who invented beer.” –Plato

Beer is the world’s most consumed alcoholic beverage and the average American consumes
over 23 gallons of beer a year without pizza!
Since ancient times beer became a popular alcoholic beverage where the climate was too
poor for wine production. It is believed that the brewing for beer began sometime around
5000 B.C. in what is now Iraq.

Barley, the grain for beer brewing was abundant in Egypt and Iraq, however, every
society has independently developed methods for making beer from local cereal grains.

Scientific studies on the benefits of beer:
A twenty-year study found that 50% of women and men with an average age of 75 bettered
their chance of reducing heart failure when they consumed at least one 12 oz. bottle of
beer each day.
Studies have discovered that drinking one beer a day changes the structure of fibrinogen,
a protein in your blood responsible for clotting.
In short, to drink a beer each day helps reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
