THE LOUVRE MUSEUM in Paris

The Louvre Museum in Paris is the largest single building in the city; the Louvre is the oldest museum in Europe and it remains the largest museum in the world. It has 224 halls and it’s grand gallery is longer than three football fields.

A word of warning for those visiting this grandest of all museums: don’t even think about trying to see the museum’s entire collection in one day. Another sound piece of advice is, make sure you wear comfortable shoes!

Admission to the Louvre is always FREE the first Sunday of each month.
